Advanced PowerPoint for Effective Presentation and Instruction

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This workshop will equip Principals, Vice Principals, HODs or Teachers with advanced skills in PowerPoint. The hands-on session will help you to uncover your creativity in using PowerPoint for presentation and instruction. The application of advanced features will allow you to create an effective and interesting ppt presentation in a shorter time.

Prerequisites:

Familiarity with any of the Windows user environments, and a basic knowledge of PowerPoint for Microsoft Office 2003 or newer versions

COURSE OUTLINE
  • Understanding and exploring various methods of creating New Presentations  
  • Using AutoContent Wizard and downloading templates from Microsoft.com  
  • Creating summary slides automatically  
  • Viewing and understanding Slide Master  
  • Formatting Master Slide and Title slide: Font styles, placeholder, background and colour schemes  
  • Creative ways of linking slides with hyperlinks
  • Understanding Hyperlinks in ppt and using action buttons  
  • Linking texts, pictures, graphs, shapes or WordArt using action setting  
  • Linking Excel worksheet, MsWord Doc and URL to ppt text, graphic or button  
  • Understanding mouse over and mouse click action setting  
  • Adding and playing sound and video in various ways  
  • Unlock the linear way of PowerPoint presentation with creative application
