COURSE OBJECTIVES

This workshop will cover fundamental theories and provide lots of hands-on experience. It will equip you with skills in using Internet Search Engines and retrieve relevant resources on display. It will also enable you to learn creative techniques in displays. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to design attractive bulletin board displays and other kinds of display for schools and libraries.

COURSE OUTLINE

• Introduction  
• Searching for display ideas for Library and School application using Search Guides/directories on Internet  
• How to find Cliparts using search engines advanced search features  
• Downloading photographs in Jpeg file and Cliparts in Gif file, including animated Gif  
• Downloading web pages in text and HTML format
• Using 3D display ideas to project Headings/Captions for Bulletin Board in the class room  
• Using pop-up methods and applying it creatively for library and school display projects  
• 10 tips on creative displays for schools and libraries  
• Web resources on display techniques and educational clip arts  
• Theory into practice: hands-on workshop and project works 

Course fee: $90 per participant (Student's group)
Duration: 6 Hours (One full day or two half days)
Minimum: 25 participants
